The University of Hargeisa is a public higher educational institution located in Hargeisa, Somaliland. The University was established in 1998, and operations started in 2000 with only two faculties. Currently, it comprises 7 colleges, 16 faculties and 37 undergraduate programs. It has a School of Graduate Studies, which now provides 35 postgraduate programs. The University has four campuses. Despite its short existence, the University has succeeded in becoming the biggest, leading and only chartered University in Somaliland.
